Story :: -==~ Paragraph UPDATE ~==-

Joshua S. Fleischer

“Obsessive compulsive McFly”

Today was just another typical day in the life of Mr. McFly. But on this day, McFly would adventure out into the world, visiting his doctor, to ultimately discover why it is that he seems to have such extraordinary, uncontrollably routines.

At the Doctors office, McFly realizes that he has a strong case of O.C.D. (obsessive compulsive disorder). McFly is shocked to hear the news, simply because all he really desired in life was to fit in. The doctor explains to McFly that all he needs to do to fit in, is to “.. just ask normal McFly.”

Adventuring out into the world, after leaving the doctors office, McFly begins to notice all of his OCD rituals. Seeing this, he starts to do all that he can to avoid serton situations entirely. One most notably, McFly can not fly past a single tree without circling it first.

As McFly attempts to pay close attention to his rituals and avoiding them, he accidentally wonders off into a swampy marsh that doesn’t appear very safe. Slowly, McFly flutters by, as suddenly a toad hopes out in front of him, viscously lashing his tung out, attempting to gobble McFly whole. The frightened little fly franticly swoops, and dodges the on-coming attacks, as what appears to be an increasing amount of predators begin to pursue.

McFly spots a light breaking through the eerie swamp fog, and begins to fly towards it. Quickly, McFly realizes that the only apparent way out requires him to fly past several trees, which doing so would trigger an uncontrollable amount of OCD routines. McFly suddenly musters up all the courage he can, and flies straight for the wooded area; dipping, diving and circling in an uncontrollable tangent. The preditors try to continue their pursuit, but their attacks don’t stand any chance against McFly’s completely unpredictable, and obscene maneuvers.

With his eyes closed, McFly breaks past the very last tree. As he slows down to a stop, and opens his eyes, McFly realizes that he is free. Looking over his should first, McFly shortly turns around and starts to head toward his house, located in the middle of a beautiful grassy knoll.

Now on his front step, McFly stairs deeply at his door, realizing he is likely to repeat in previously undesired routines, before ever entering his home. Appearing to struggle deeply with touching his own door knob, McFly swiftly grabs his door, pauses it open, then triumphantly enters his home without a single out-spirt.

Suddenly, right after the door closes behind him, the door swings swiftly open, as McFy performs a series of routine, pauses, then smile to the “camera”, realizing now how important it is to stay true with who you really are.
